Using the Gut Guard™
To use the Gut Guard™ place the knife in the Gut Guard™ sharp edge up.
With the tip of the blade hidden in the bulbous nose of the Gut Guard™, insert the nose of the Gut Guard™ into a small incision at the base of the belly or just below the breast bone.
A one-handed easy push the length of the belly leaves a clean cut. The stomach is not punctured, and you’ve cut much less hair than when using a gut hook.
